Skylegs 2025 – year in review: strong foundations, innovation, security and flexibility
Another year has come to an end, so it’s time to look back at yet another productive and successful year. 2025 was a year of strengthening our foundations and of expanding our horizons. In this article, we share some of our 2025 highlights with you.
A flexible flight management platform built for automation and to make your life much easier
In 2025, Skylegs focused heavily on strengthening our platform and offering value for our customers.
- Regulatory automation: authorities are constantly introducing new requirements. In light of that, we are here to help you out and to add even more automation to free you from repetitive and burdensome tasks. As a result, you will have more peace of mind and time. For example, last year, we released solutions for RefuelEU, NEATS reporting, and SIFL.
- Expense management: We launched a new feature where crew, operations, and financial departments can easily manage expenses linked to flights and missions. Every company subscribed to our Finance module can now benefit from this feature.
- We have been working hard on Skylegs version 5 and on our API, which enables many new deep integrations with in-house and external tools.
Manage your expense on the go via the Crew App
Skylegs users also enjoy a free Crew App for their mobile devices. In addition to checking duties, keeping track of qualifications and courses, instantly interacting with the back office and much more, Skylegs users can now easily manage their expenses via the Crew App.
Whether you are a pilot managing various tasks in between your flights or a crew member taking care of the various expenses involved in a flight, you can count on the new Expense management in the Crew App.
Fortifying security and embracing technology
We keep on fortifying our platform and company against external threats.
- Defense layers: We have implemented ISO standards, SSO (Single Sign-On), MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication), on top of our robust rights and role access-based system.
- Active monitoring: Through our partnership with Aikido, we monitor threats actively, acting like a continuous penetration test to ensure your data remains safe.
- Next steps: We are currently developing biometric and passwordless login features.
AI and our stance about implementing it
It cannot be denied that AI has been changing and affecting the technological landscape and how it has changed the way many tasks are carried out. For instance, when it comes to software development, it has reached a level of proficiency comparable to junior developers, assisting our senior developers and product controllers in delivering faster results.
As exciting as AI features and the potential it has are and sound, we want you to know that we won’t simply hop on the bandwagon and start using AI recklessly, though. As with everything we do, any implementation of AI was, is and will be done diligently and carefully, especially to make sure our clients and their data will remain safe and that everything falls in line with our core values and principles.
Safety & Compliance: ISO27001 and Part-IS
Hot topic or not, Security has always been one of our core values and one of our main concerns. We are dedicated to keeping you and your data safe. In these regards, here are some examples of what we do:
- ISO certified: We are happy to announce that our ISO27001 certification was renewed in 2025. After becoming certified in our first attempt in 2024, we are
proud to announce that we managed to secure it for yet another year. - Part-IS ready: With EASA’s Part-IS regulations coming into effect in 2026, Skylegs is ready to help you comply with it.
- Sneak peek: We have been working on a dedicated ‘Security’ module, designed specifically to help you meet Part-IS requirements. Stay tuned to our news and
social media posts to know more about it in the near future.
Skylegs around the world
As mentioned previously, to enjoy the new Expense management feature, you need to have the Finance module active in your Skylegs environment.
In 2025, our team visited 6 major events to show Skylegs to the world, to meet up with our aviation colleagues and to catch up with the new and ongoing trends in the industry. Did you know that some of our colleagues in the Skylegs team are pilots? They flew themselves to events like Aero Friedrichshafen, Swiss Private Jet Show and ACE in style and efficiency.

Sustainability
In addition to security, sustainability remains a core value. We aim at reducing the ecological impact of aviation while supporting its economic viability.
- Paperless flying: Made possible through our EFB.
- Partnerships: Together with Azzera and RISE, we offer solutions to help operators comply with regulations such as RefuelEU.
- Initiatives: We offer our clients a sustainable solution that is in line with our commitment to promoting eco-friendly aviation practices through our Skylegs Green initiative. Additionally, we are members of EBAA’s S.T.A.R.S (Standards & Training for Aviation Responsibility and Sustainability).
Looking at 2026
As we look ahead at this new year, we aim to keep on improving our platform and services and to mindfully implement new technologies, such as AI. While we move forward, rest assured that we will also keep doing what we do best: offer you high-quality service, responsive support and be open to your feedback and suggestions.
