An aircraft operator schedules a flight and assigns crew members. Before confirming the flight, the operator verifies the status of the crew members’ recency on the date of the flight. If there is no automated system, this process can be really cumbersome. See why:

- Manual checks and calculations are prone to mistakes.
- The operator must contact the crew member to verify the recency status in case they perform flights outside of the organisation (for instance, this is the case of freelance pilots).

Crew recency calculation by Skylegs

- 3 takeoffs and 3 landings in the previous 90 days.
- 3 night takeoffs and 3 landings in the past 90 days.
- 3 IFR approaches and 5 flights in the past 90 days (EASA ORO.FC.202 Single-pilot operations under IFR or at night).
And the cabin crew recency is also monitored:
- 1 flight in the past 6 months (EASA ORO.CC.145 Cabin crew refresher training).
Expired recency warnings
In Skylegs, when a user schedules a flight and assigns crew members, the system does the work and verifies the status of their recency on the date of the flight.
