A Special Year
2023 has been a special year for us at Skylegs. It has marked our 10th anniversary, new operators and integrators have joined our family and we have worked hard to constantly improve our platform and services.
With such an eventful year, it was difficult to choose what to share with you, but we believe what you will read next will be worth your time.
In this post – a look back at 2023 – in the spirit of transparency and because you are important to us, we will touch on four important items: Data Protection, Cybersecurity, Quality Assurance and Sustainability.
Data Protection
At Skylegs, we do not hold back when it comes to protecting your data and your privacy.
Data Protection is a subject of utmost importance for us, and we want you to know that you and your data are protected and safe with us.
Skylegs complies with the EU General Protection Data Regulation (GDPR), the UK Data Protection Act of 2018, with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), to name a few.
In addition to that, we value discretion. We are very particular and careful about what we post on our website and on social media. Therefore, you can rest easy knowing that you are in good and discreet hands.
Cybersecurity
Cybersecurity has been a hot topic as of late and, given the various risks present in cyberspace, it could not be any different. Despite that, Safety has always been one of our core values.
Here are some of the actions we take to ensure safety is always properly in place:
– We use Amazon’s AWS, a safe and reliable cloud platform;
– The Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in our platform and apps adds yet another layer of protection. This set-up can be managed by our clients themselves, which gives them freedom and flexibility.
– Additionally, authentication can be tailored to what the operator has already been using via federated authentication or Single Sign On (SSO);
– A third-party specialist company performs safety/penetration tests in our systems from time to time;
– Our team undergoes recurrent training on Cybersecurity-related topics. Therefore, our team is always qualified and ready to act, should it ever be necessary.
Quality Assurance and Sustainability
We know that words such as Quality, Safety and Sustainability are common buzzwords, unfortunately often thrown around haphazardly. However, we do abide by what these words inherently convey, and it shows in our work, in our commitment to our clients and in our commitment to making the aviation industry better, safer and more sustainable.
When it comes to Sustainability, for instance, Skylegs has been collaborating closely with partners seeking the best solutions to reduce/offset emissions. Azzera Celeste is an example of such partnerships.
As for Quality Assurance, as stated previously, we at Skylegs are constantly improving our platform, apps and services. We know that our clients hold us to the highest standards of quality and we welcome these expectations with open arms as we know we are more than capable of meeting them.
An example of that is the fact that we are in the process of becoming ISO27001 certified. Our whole team – and especially our Quality Assurance team – is hard at work, making sure this certification becomes yet another achievement in our proud history.
