Antwerp, Belgium – 1st March 2018 – A unique event “Day of the Pilot” created for all aviation enthusiasts to enhance their knowledge about the current trends in the industry took place last week on 24th February.
Organised by VVMV (Vereniging Vlaamse Motorvliegclubs) in cooperation with DGLV (Belgian CAA) and EuroPilot Center, the event was situated at the Kinepolis in Antwerp, Belgium. The entire day was dominated on relevant aviation topics including: regulations, aircraft pre-checks, digitalisation, radio and many more.
A program full of educating lectures on the future of aviation and more information about safety and infringements from number of aviation professionals. An interesting and educational day presenting the latest facts to enhance general knowledge about aviation. Besides the number of knowledgeable guest speakers such as a representative from Siemens talking about the future of flying and electric aircraft, Skylegs had the opportunity to participate as well.
Our Managing Director, Maxim Schelfhout, performed as a guest speaker by presenting the “Digitalisation of Aviation” topic. Introducing different ways of how technology has an impact to the industry. From flight preparation to cockpit innovations, airspace regulations, Blockchain and much more.
This was truly a not to be missed event for any pilot which was proved by the 400 attendees from different areas of GA and aviation authorities of Belgium.
