Antwerpen, Belgium 29th August 2018 – Automate e-mail and SMS text movement messages to your client, handler, driver,… by Eurocontrol realtime data, directly from within your favourite operations software, Skylegs.
The feature “sending automated movement messages” is fairly new, as the Skylegs team started building this at the start of the year. In order to successfully send them on-time, we are using the data from our interface with Eurocontrol. Thanks to our operator’s feedback we have improved this feature based on practical experience.
Eurocontrol data is thoroughly used to display live location on maps and to show actual timings (including slot CTOT) on the schedule. Soon we will also provide a CTOT messaging service.
Your dispatch, customer service or sales is able to easily schedule automated movement messages via e-mail or SMS text. For each flight, the user may configure following options on how to send these notifications, once the flight becomes active:
- Amount of minutes
- Target: before or after the movement
- Source: actual TOT/LDT or estimated OBT
They may be scheduled for either an individual leg or multiple flights at the same time within the same mission. Furthermore, it is possible to automatically add recipients (clients, handlers, crew etc.). After the recipients are chosen, you must open the form either via e-mail or SMS text in which you can choose the message content from the existing templates. If necessary, you may customise the message or subject. The placeholders will be automatically filled in with realtime data.
After scheduling movement messages, it is possible to see the activity list of all movement messages. In addition, it will show if the message is either scheduled, moved or failed (in case of a missed linked between Eurocontrol flight-data).
Our operators enjoy multiple benefits using this feature. It allows more efficient operations for the dispatch, customer support or sales department, eliminating the hassle of remembering, manually entering the data and sending the movement message. Thus, resulting in time saving and less errors.
