In a recent press release, our esteemed client and partner Sparfell – who has been using the Skylegs platform for over 4 years – announced a ground-breaking partnership between us and SQUAKE. A new alliance for sustainability is born!
Skylegs, offering a complete flight management platform for Charter, Private and Special operators, partners up with Sparfell, a leading aircraft management and charter company and with SQUAKE, a pioneering sustainability solutions provider.
With such a strong and capable ensemble, the aviation industry gets many steps closer to making SAF available to even more operators.
Not a “walk in the park”, though
Still, there are challenges in the sky ahead, as many of you know. Fostering a better future for the aviation industry is no easy feat: pressure from various sides and groups, the high cost and the lack of support are just some examples of the hurdles we face.
On top of that, ‘Sustainability’, ‘Sustainable Aviation Fuel’ (SAF) and other similar or related words, are often merely used as buzzwords and marketing gimmicks, which might make those who are truly serious about it lose credibility.
Nevertheless, we push through. This is just one of the reasons why working with like-minded companies such as Sparfell and SQUAKE is a game-changer and a win-win for everyone.
Skylegs, Sparfell and SQUAKE provide a solution
Quoting from the Sparfell’s press release:
“Crafted from waste materials, SAF is set to become the regulated standard for the future of air travel. Thanks to Sparfell’s partnership with SQUAKE, a pioneering “book and claim” system is being introduced, empowering customers to support the growth and adoption of SAF, even if it is not available yet at the departure airport and ensuring the equivalent amount of sustainable fuel is used elsewhere.”
Skylegs appears as a key player in this alliance by being the platform in which Sparfell and SQUAKE can “work their magic”. Skylegs offers SAF options to Sparfell’s customer, calculated on the estimated fuel consumption and the SAF price from SQUAKE.
This, in turn, enables Sparfell’s charter team to offer their efficient service while prioritizing climate targets.
With our alliance working in tandem, Sparfell’s customers can easily and effortlessly opt for SAF.
Once more quoting from the press release: “This integration means that with every booking, the opportunity to compensate emissions with SAF is automatically presented.”
